Bespoke EV firm, Hedley Studios, appoints new MD to grow its operations

  • UK-based Hedley Studios, recently rebranded from ‘The Little Car Company’, which as the name hints, produces shrunk down, electric-powered versions of coveted classic car designs such as the Aston Martin DB5 and Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, has appointed Ben Street, as the firm’s new Managing Director and Board Member.
  • Having held roles at automotive manufacturers such as McLaren and Ford, Street’s appointment will help grow the firm, globally.
  • Street will work closely alongside Hedley Studio’s CEO, Ben Hedley.

Hedley Studios continues expansion

The rebrand from The Little Car Company to Hedley Studios only happened last month, with the move aiming to reflect the brand position that these EVs are drivable pieces of art, rather than simply being a mini EV. Ben Street most recently was the CEO of model car manufacturer Amalgam Collection, where he has remained as a Chair. Before that, Street was Head of Operations at McLaren Automotive, and this combination of both automotive and art expertise should put him in a good position as his new Managing Director position at Hedley Studios.

Alongside Ben Street’s appointment, the firm hopes to expand its current lineup of classic inspired EVs, which consists of the fully-licensed Aston Martin DB5 Junior, Bentley Blower Junior, Bugatti Baby II, and Ferrari Testa Rossa Junior models. The firm’s Bentley model is already available in a street-legal form, making it an even more drivable artpiece, with its 10.8kWh battery and 45 mph top speed giving it the possibility to be used around town too.
